Moonscape CSV Format Guide
Learn about the Moonscape CSV format structure, column definitions, and how to use our standardized format for crypto trading data across exchanges
There are two ways to import your crypto trading data into Moonscape: using your exchange's native CSV format or our standardized Moonscape format.
Import Options
Option 1: Direct Exchange Import
For supported exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc.), you can simply:
- Download the CSV export from your exchange
- Upload it directly to Moonscape
- We'll automatically convert it to our unified format
Option 2: Moonscape CSV Format
Use our standardized format if:
- Your exchange isn't supported yet
- You manage trades manually
- You want to combine data from multiple sources
- You're migrating from another platform
What is the Moonscape CSV Format?
The Moonscape CSV format is a standardized structure that consolidates crypto trading data from any source into a single, consistent format. This makes it easier to analyze your trading history, calculate taxes, and integrate with other tools.
Column Structure
The Moonscape CSV format consists of 9 columns:

Transaction Types Explained
Buy Transactions
buyasset
: The cryptocurrency you purchasedbuyqty
: Amount of crypto purchasedsellasset
: The currency you paid with (usually USD, USDT, etc.)sellqty
: Amount you paid
Sell Transactions
buyasset
: The currency you received (usually USD, USDT, etc.)buyqty
: Amount receivedsellasset

: Amount of crypto sold
Deposits & Withdrawals
For deposits and withdrawals, one of the asset fields will typically be empty or marked as the native currency of the exchange.
