iPhone App Questions
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. We built for iOS first to get the mobile experience perfect. Android is coming in 2026.
Can I use it without the iPhone app?
Yes. We have a web app too. But the iPhone app is better - real-time updates, push notifications, Face ID, designed for mobile.
Is my data secure on mobile?
Yes. Face ID required to open the app. API keys encrypted on-device. All connections over HTTPS. We use read-only exchange API keys (can't trade with your account).
Do I need to pay to use the app?
Downloading the app and importing, searching and organising transactions is free. Tax reports, including your tax figures and filing forms, require a purchase for that tax year.
What iOS version do I need?
iOS 15 or later. Works on iPhone 6s and newer. Optimized for iPhone 12 and up.

Common questions about Moonscape's iOS app
Is Moonscape available for Android?
Not yet. Moonscape is iOS-only for now. We built mobile-first on iPhone because it allowed us to create the best possible experience rather than compromising for two platforms. Android is on our roadmap.
How is Moonscape different from Koinly's mobile app?
Koinly built a desktop app first, then crammed it onto mobile. We did the opposite. Moonscape was designed touch-first: large tap targets, swipe gestures, real-time push notifications, Face ID security. The difference is immediately obvious when you use both.
Can I track my portfolio and taxes in the same app?
Yes. Moonscape combines real-time portfolio tracking with tax calculations. See your holdings, price movements, and unrealized gains alongside your tax position. One app, not two separate tools.
Do I need the web app too?
No. Everything works from your iPhone. Connect exchanges, track portfolio, calculate taxes, export reports - all from the mobile app. We have a web dashboard if you prefer it, but it's not required.
Is my data secure on mobile?
Yes. Face ID / Touch ID authentication, encrypted local storage, read-only API connections to exchanges. We never have withdrawal access to your funds. Your data stays on your device and our encrypted servers.
